NOMINATE A STUDENT

Pre-application nomination: To avoid self-selection bias and recruit students who may lack the confidence to apply directly, we accept teacher nominations of students, BEFORE all direct-apply applications are in. See the teacher nomination (pre-apply) form below. After the nomination application deadline, we will send the nominated students applications directly (if they haven't already applied) and we will not contact the teacher for further recommendation unless we have trouble reaching the student via email, mail, or phone.  We ask that teachers limit nominations of this type to two students.

 

Post-application nomination: Students may also apply to the program directly and will be asked to write the name and contact information of a science teacher who they think would be willing to "nominate" them for this program. Once the student application closes, we will then email each teacher who was suggested as a potential nominator by one or more students and ask these teachers to choose a maximum of two students from this list to nominate via a short online form.
