Become a Research Mentor!

Get involved in the Summer Research Program through research mentorship. Research mentors can be graduate students, research staff (including undergraduate researchers), and post-docs.

Research Mentor Position: Research mentors are the backbone of our program! The role of the research mentor is to mentor the student in research. Before the summer, we will help you develop a project that fits within the lab and is at a high school level. During the 6-week program, you would be responsible for your student for two full workdays and one half day each week. We will also ask that you attend lunch with the students and other mentors once a week. Please note that these students are minors, so there are EHS and protection-of-minors limitations on the types of samples and chemicals they can work with. A stipend of $1,020 will be provided to mentors in recognition of their participation in the full six-week program.
